Krea 3
KreaKrea opened the beta of Krea 3, an image-editing model built for speed: end-to-end 2K edits in under eight seconds, at about six cents an image, with quality Krea put level with Nano Banana Pro and GPT Image 2.5. Edits can be confined to a region or placed with a bounding box, refined over several turns, and guided by reference images, and Krea said it was the first editing model that could be fine-tuned with LoRAs on a specific person, product or style. It went out on Krea's own site and through fal, Together AI, Replicate and OpenRouter, with a full release and benchmarks promised for the following week.
Five months after Krea 2, the race in image models had moved from generating a picture to changing one precisely. For filmmakers that is the keyframe pass: fixing one detail of a start frame, or holding a character across a set of them, fast enough to iterate before anything goes to the video model. Speed and price claims were Krea's own at launch.
