ElevenLabs Instant Soundtracks

Upload a video and ElevenLabs scores it in one pass: original music, plus sound effects the model places itself by watching the footage for moments that call for one, such as a whoosh timed to the logo at the end of an ad. The effects land on their own layers in ElevenCreative's Music Video Editor, so they can be moved, swapped or removed without regenerating the score, and the music can shift mood from scene to scene. A clip's existing audio can serve as a reference, so the new score keeps its genre, tempo and instrumentation instead of starting from scratch. Through the API, the music and effects can come back as separate files for mixing elsewhere.

It closed a gap in the AI filmmaking pipeline. Video models were already generating sound with the picture, often with music nobody asked for, which creators were stripping out with tools like Meta's SAM Audio. Two weeks after Eleven v4 gave them a directable voice, ElevenLabs offered the other half of the mix: a score and effects that follow the cut.
