HyperFrames

HeyGen

HeyGen's open-source framework for making video out of HTML: "Write HTML. Render video. Built for agents." A composition is an ordinary web page whose elements carry their timing in data attributes; HyperFrames plays it in a headless browser and renders a deterministic MP4 with FFmpeg. It is Apache 2.0 licensed, runs locally, and has no render credits or seat limits. The bet behind it was that language models already know HTML far better than any video API, so a coding agent can write a motion graphic, a launch video or an animated short as a web page, check it, and render it, and the project stays in git like any other code.

It caught on fast: by October the repository had passed 60,000 stars on GitHub. When Claude Opus 5.5 set off the wave of films and motion graphics made entirely in code that September, HyperFrames was one of the frameworks underneath. On October 5 HeyGen added HyperFrames Studio, a visual editor where a person and an agent work on the same project: the person scrubs the timeline or points at a frame and leaves a note, the agent makes the change. A week later it shipped a guided launch-video workflow built from hundreds of top-performing motion graphics, cataloged by the role each plays.
