Dead Sea

A two-minute horror short about a doomed pirate captain, and Tim Simmons' attempt to bring the best tools of mid-2024 together in one narrative. The characters were designed in Midjourney, using its personalization feature to hold one visual tone, and the shots came from Kling 1.0, Runway Gen-3 and Luma Dream Machine. ElevenLabs supplied the voices and lip sync, and Suno and Udio the music. His follow-up, which he titled "The AI Film Era Has Begun", walks through every step, from the problems with video generation and lip sync to what the film cost with AI against a traditional production.
