ANCESTRA Premieres at Tribeca

Director Eliza McNitt premieres ANCESTRA at Tribeca — a hybrid live-action short produced with Darren Aronofsky's Primordial Soup and Google DeepMind, using Veo, Gemini, and Imagen to generate the prenatal and surgical imagery the story needs but could never have been shot. The film is autobiographical, and the AI sequences exist not to replace cinematography but to render images of the unfilmable. It becomes one of the cleanest reference cases for hybrid live-action + generative-AI filmmaking on a real festival platform.
