House of David Season 2: 253 AI Shots in About a Week

Season 1 of Amazon's House of David put 72 generative AI-assisted shots on Prime Video, an early case of a major streaming series using AI in its VFX pipeline. For Season 2, Wonder Project's AI VFX team completed 253 AI-assisted shots and environment builds in about a week, work that Magnific says used to take ten to twelve weeks.

The method was to transfer the show's visual language directly onto generated material, using frames from the actual production as reference in Magnific, so the footage could cut alongside live action. The team brought the tool into the studio, testing models and refining backgrounds with the directors during the shoot rather than weeks later in post, which Magnific argues is the real change: the people making the show stayed in the creative loop, tested on set, and made decisions that carried through to the final cut.
