Daniel Antebi shot it as live action on an ARRI Alexa Mini, then rotoscoped a second performer and reskinned him with AI as bare muscle, using Runway Gen-2 and Stable Diffusion. AI "was the only way to execute the effect we wanted with the budget we had," Antebi said. A film about displacement and mental health, narrated in Japanese, it won the Grand Prix at Runway's second AI Film Festival from about 3,000 submissions.
