Mr. Gurgleson's Midnight Hour
BLVCKL!GHT
"An exploration in style, non-linear storytelling, and a mind plagued with end stage capitalism" — a public-access late-night kids' show for adults, running a full unbroken hour. It's BLVCKL!GHT's second hour-long piece after Rapture in early 2025, and another dispatch from the Route 47 Television universe he's been building across Gorbo's Swim Hole, Cryptid Dating Game, and Sad Steve's since 2024. The episode plays out of order, and his account of why is the funniest thing in a very funny description: they lost the tapes, put them back in the wrong sleeves, watched it that way, and decided it was better. The rest of the writeup is sustained deadpan — a $5,000,000 budget that "went into the fog," a fog machine they could not turn off, a fog now credited as a cast member, and Denise at the station who asked him to please stop. Underneath the bit is a real claim about performance: he says he has never gotten emotion this precisely dialed in, working with three lights, one of which is a lamp from his mother's house.
