One of the earliest music videos built on AI image synthesis. Directed by visual artist Felix Green, 'Dreamcatching' runs real live-action footage of the duo — Mica Tenenbaum and Matthew Lewin — through VQGAN+CLIP and GAN networks, letting the algorithm interpret and smear the imagery to the song's lyrics. The result looks, deliberately, like a computer's interpretation of dreams: melting, hallucinatory, months ahead of the wave. Proof that before text-to-video existed, artists were already directing neural networks frame by frame.
