Junkyard King | Chapter 1 | Training Day

Henry Daubrez

It wasn't a dream. The sword is real, but it runs on something Artie doesn't understand yet — so it's time to train. Three months after the Chapter 0 pilot, Henry Daubrez returns to his 80s-set, Arthurian-flavored animated series with a full nine-minute chapter: Artie, the VHS-obsessed teen detective, starts learning what the mysterious katana from the junkyard can actually do. The chapter began as a simple experiment with Invideo's Agent One and grew into a complete episode. Daubrez's own read on the process is the interesting part: the tool shifted his attention away from prompt engineering and toward filmmaking — direction, camera angles, movement, pacing, character interactions, dialogue. The things that actually matter when telling a story. Where Chapter 0 was a proof that serialized AI animation could exist, Chapter 1 is proof that the world can keep growing.
