Promise is developing Touch Grass, a psychological horror feature built on the dead internet theory, the idea that most of the internet is bots. A young woman who designs AI personalities finds a hidden layer beneath the internet where copies of real people are being assembled from their deepest desires.

The producing team is the part that signals intent. Brad Miska founded Bloody Disgusting and built the V/H/S franchise; Chris White executive produced The Backrooms, A24's $393M 2026 breakout. Neither is an AI person. An AI-native studio making a horror film about synthetic people impersonating real ones is almost too neat. No cast or release date yet.
