A two-and-a-half-minute stop-motion-style short that The Dor Brothers made as a Seedance 2.5 showcase for Pippit, ByteDance's AI video tool for marketers: an old craftsman with a squinting eye, a needle and a length of red thread, in a warm, cluttered workshop rendered to look like hand-made puppetry.

It is a long way from the political satire of [The Drill](https://aifilmhistory.org/entry/the-drill) and the sci-fi of [Apex](https://aifilmhistory.org/entry/apex), and part of a growing line of work for AI studios in late 2026: showcase films commissioned by the AI platforms themselves.
