Twenty-two minutes of AI fantasy animation inspired by the anthropomorphic animal stories Charlie Driscoll read as a kid, with a dark twist. It was made in Seedance 2.5 through Segmind: 847 takes, mostly thirty-second multi-shot prompts, more than five hours of footage, 127 clips in the cut, about $4,500 of generation and four weeks from first take to release. Characters and locations came from Midjourney, whose location plates he found a level above Nano Banana or GPT Image for cinematography and art direction; Nano Banana on fal then edited those plates, built anchor frames and turned the characters into turnaround sheets, and Seedance handled as much of the framing and camera operating as possible.

The habits of his Unreal Engine films carried over: a handheld, imperfect camera, focus hunting, and weather and atmospherics everywhere, which he says is what keeps it from looking like a Temu Pixar film. He built his own tools for it, a portal that holds the bible, references, every prompt and every take, with a Claude agent writing prompts to the house rules, and a Premiere Pro panel that browses the archive, drops selects on the timeline and sends fixes back to Seedance. Everything is 720p with no upscaling. The narration is his own voice through ElevenLabs speech-to-speech. He credits [PJ Accetturo](https://aifilmhistory.org/artist/pj-accetturo)'s Nexus and Kavan the Kid's Chronicles of Bone with proving that long-form AI film was possible. Chapter II is in the works.
