A three-minute short that Alex Patrascu says Claude Opus 5.5 made from a single prompt. Unlike the all-code experiments of the same week, SAND is photoreal: a man laughing behind the wheel of an old car by the sea, overlaid with a running motion-graphics readout of timecode, cash and laughs. Opus 5.5 connected a range of image, video and voice models and assembled the result itself, acting as the director and editor across tools rather than drawing every frame.

Together with [Matt Shumer's all-code short](https://aifilmhistory.org/entry/opus-5-5-animated-short-in-code), it marks the two directions the Opus 5.5 trend took in its first week: the model as animator, and the model as the one running the whole pipeline.
