A gritty, flashing-light short built almost entirely from macro shots, in an aesthetic Chesney credits to Gaspar Noé. Produced by CapCut on Seedance 2.0 at 4K, with an original score by Brendon Moeller.

Six weeks after release, Salty won Best AI Short Film at the inaugural nomorefrog AI Film Awards, a Korean festival screened online through OvAI. Chesney then did something more unusual than a behind-the-scenes: he published every prompt used to make it, free, on a public Milanote board, and walked through the whole CapCut workflow on YouTube. In a year when finished AI films have gotten polished enough to hide their process, Salty ships with its process attached.
