The day humanity completes a space-based solar array, its first big step toward becoming a Type I civilization, Saturn's moon Pan disappears. Then, around the world, people who commit acts of violence start turning into candy, and the scientists who work out the pattern have to ask whether humanity is ready to be an advanced civilization at all. Jiaze Li made the nine-minute film with Seedance 2.5 through BytePlus, using it to experiment with camera language and visual effects. It passed 390,000 views on YouTube and won the $32,000 Grand Prize at the first [Lumara Film Festival](https://aifilmhistory.org/entry/lumara-film-festival-2026).
